Product Description
Lithium Phosphate (Li3PO4) | Battery Grade
Product Overview
Lithium Phosphate (Li3PO4) is a white crystalline powder. As the electric vehicle (EV) and energy storage sectors experience explosive global growth, Lithium Phosphate has emerged as a cornerstone inorganic material. It is fundamentally critical as a high-purity precursor and additive in the manufacturing of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery cathodes, renowned for their safety and longevity.
At Shandong Yinglang Chemical Co., Ltd., established in 2016, we supply Battery-Grade Lithium Phosphate (≥ 99.5%) engineered explicitly for the advanced energy supply chain. With our stringent ppm-level control over magnetic impurities (Fe, Cu, Zn) and moisture, we guarantee our product delivers flawless electrochemical consistency for global cathode material manufacturers.
Technical Specifications (COA)
For LFP battery cathode manufacturing, trace magnetic impurity control is absolute. Below are the typical specifications for our Battery Grade:
| Purity (Li3PO4) | ≥ 99.5% |
|---|---|
| Lithium (Li) Content | ≥ 17.8% |
| Iron (Fe) | ≤ 10 ppm |
| Sodium (Na) | ≤ 0.05% |
| Moisture / Water | ≤ 0.5% |
Key Applications
- LFP Battery Cathodes: Serves as a vital precursor and structural additive in the synthesis of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) cathode materials for EVs and energy storage.
- Specialty Glass & Ceramics: Added to specialty glass melts and glazes to significantly improve thermal shock resistance and chemical durability.
- Fluorescent Phosphors: Used in the production of high-performance color phosphors for advanced lighting technologies.
- Chemical Catalysis: Acts as a specialized catalyst in organic synthesis.
⚡ Eliminating Magnetic Impurities for EV Safety
In lithium-ion battery manufacturing, microscopic magnetic impurities (like Iron, Copper, and Zinc) can pierce the battery separator, causing internal short circuits and thermal runaway. Our Battery-Grade Lithium Phosphate is subjected to advanced magnetic filtration during synthesis, restricting Iron (Fe) strictly under 10 ppm to ensure maximum battery safety and cycle life.
Packaging Options
To maintain battery-grade purity and prevent environmental contamination:

FAQ
Q1: What documents and certifications do you provide?
A Standard shipment includes COA (Certificate of Analysis) and MSDS (SDS). We also provide ISO 9001 certification and support third-party inspections like SGS or BV upon request.
Q2: Do you provide custom synthesis or formulation services?
A Yes. If you have specific purity requirements or a unique formulation, our R&D team can provide custom synthesis and adjust the stabilizers/inhibitors to meet your technical specifications.
Q3: What are your terms of payment?
A
For Orders ≤ $1,000: 100% in advance.
For Orders > $1,000: 30% T/T in advance, and the balance before shipment or against the copy of B/L. Irrevocable L/C at sight is also acceptable for bulk orders.
Q4: How long is your price valid?
A Chemical prices fluctuate due to the changes in raw material costs and exchange rates. Please contact our sales team for the latest real-time quotation.
Q5: What packaging and shipping ports are available?
A
We normally ship from Qingdao, Shanghai, or Ningbo.
Standard packaging includes 200kg Drums or 1000kg IBC Totes. We ensure strict safety compliance for both general and hazardous chemical cargoes.
Q6: It's my first time importing chemicals — can you help?
A Absolutely. Importing chemicals requires specific documentation. Our experienced logistics team will assist you with the entire process, including handling customs clearance documents and arranging the most suitable shipping method.
