Product Description
Lithium Foil & Ribbon | Battery Grade Metallic Anode
Product Overview
Lithium Foil (Metallic Lithium Ribbon) is the ultimate anode material driving the next revolution in energy storage. Boasting the highest theoretical specific capacity (3860 mAh/g) and the lowest electrochemical potential of any material, it is the indispensable core for next-generation solid-state batteries, lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries, and advanced primary lithium cells.
At Shandong Yinglang Chemical Co., Ltd., established in 2016, we supply ultra-thin, high-purity (≥ 99.9%) Lithium Foil engineered for the world's leading gigafactories. Processed in state-of-the-art ultra-dry cleanrooms, our lithium foil features a brilliant, oxidation-free surface, strict thickness tolerances, and is tightly wound on custom spools under inert Argon gas to guarantee absolute perfection upon delivery.
Technical Specifications (COA)
For solid-state battery anodes, surface quality and thickness consistency are critical to preventing dendrite formation. Typical specifications:
| Purity (Li) | ≥ 99.9% |
|---|---|
| Thickness Range | 20 μm - 500 μm (Customizable) |
| Thickness Tolerance | ± 2 μm |
| Width Range | 10 mm - 130 mm (Customizable) |
| Surface Quality | Flat, highly reflective silver-white, zero oxidation/dark spots. |
Key Applications
- Solid-State & Li-Metal Batteries: Serves as the ultimate high-energy-density anode material, replacing traditional graphite to double the energy capacity of EV batteries.
- Lithium-Sulfur (Li-S) Batteries: Acts as the essential metallic anode in cutting-edge Li-S battery configurations.
- Primary Lithium Cells: The active anode component in 3V button cells (CR2032) and cylindrical Li-MnO2 batteries.
- Pre-Lithiation: Used to compensate for initial lithium loss in advanced supercapacitors and silicon-anode lithium-ion batteries.
Strict Argon-Purged DG Packaging
Because metallic lithium oxidizes instantly in the air and reacts violently with moisture, our packaging protocol is absolute:
- Primary: Foil is wound on spools, interleaved with a protective polymer film, and vacuum-sealed inside thick aluminized barrier bags purged with Argon gas.
- Secondary: Securely isolated inside UN-approved steel drums to prevent physical damage during Class 4.3 ocean freight.
⚠️ Safety & Transport Information (Class 4.3 DG)
- Transport Classification: Classified as Class 4.3 (Substances which, in contact with water, emit flammable gases).
- UN Number: UN 1415 | Packing Group: I
- Handling Precautions: DANGEROUS WHEN WET. Reacts violently with water to release flammable hydrogen gas. MUST be handled exclusively inside an Argon-filled glove box (H2O < 1 ppm). Store in a strictly dry, fire-proof DG facility.

FAQ
Q1: What documents and certifications do you provide?
A Standard shipment includes COA (Certificate of Analysis) and MSDS (SDS). We also provide ISO 9001 certification and support third-party inspections like SGS or BV upon request.
Q2: Do you provide custom synthesis or formulation services?
A Yes. If you have specific purity requirements or a unique formulation, our R&D team can provide custom synthesis and adjust the stabilizers/inhibitors to meet your technical specifications.
Q3: What are your terms of payment?
A
For Orders ≤ $1,000: 100% in advance.
For Orders > $1,000: 30% T/T in advance, and the balance before shipment or against the copy of B/L. Irrevocable L/C at sight is also acceptable for bulk orders.
Q4: How long is your price valid?
A Chemical prices fluctuate due to the changes in raw material costs and exchange rates. Please contact our sales team for the latest real-time quotation.
Q5: What packaging and shipping ports are available?
A
We normally ship from Qingdao, Shanghai, or Ningbo.
Standard packaging includes 200kg Drums or 1000kg IBC Totes. We ensure strict safety compliance for both general and hazardous chemical cargoes.
Q6: It's my first time importing chemicals — can you help?
A Absolutely. Importing chemicals requires specific documentation. Our experienced logistics team will assist you with the entire process, including handling customs clearance documents and arranging the most suitable shipping method.
