Product Overview

Tetraethyl Orthosilicate (TEOS) is a clear, colorless, and volatile organosilicon liquid. Recognized globally as the premier precursor for the Sol-Gel process, TEOS hydrolyzes to form ultra-pure, structurally perfect Silicon Dioxide (SiO2). This unique capability positions it as an irreplaceable foundational material across both traditional heavy industry and cutting-edge high-tech sectors.

At Shandong Yinglang Chemical Co., Ltd., established in 2016, we supply bulk volumes of Premium TEOS to global semiconductor fabricators, advanced aerogel innovators, and marine coating giants. Operating strictly under Class 3 Dangerous Goods protocols, we ensure our TEOS is packaged under rigorously dry, Nitrogen-blanketed conditions to guarantee zero premature hydrolysis and pristine reactivity for your CVD or Sol-Gel reactors.

Technical Specifications (COA)

For semiconductor deposition and aerogel synthesis, trace metals and chloride impurities must be strictly minimized. Typical specifications:

Purity (TEOS) ≥ 99.0% (4N Electronic Grade available)
SiO2 Content Equivalent ~ 28.0% - 28.5%
Free Chlorides (Cl-) ≤ 5 ppm
Moisture / Water ≤ 0.05%
Density (at 20°C) 0.930 - 0.940 g/cm³

Key Applications

  • Semiconductor Manufacturing: The absolute core precursor used in CVD processes to deposit flawless, conformal SiO2 dielectric layers and passivation films on silicon wafers.
  • Silica Aerogel Synthesis: The primary building block for synthesizing silica aerogels, offering the lowest thermal conductivity for EV battery insulation and aerospace.
  • Anti-Corrosion Marine Coatings: Acts as an elite cross-linking binder in zinc-rich primers, providing unparalleled protection for offshore platforms.
  • Precision Casting: Formulated as an exceptional binder for ceramic shells in the investment casting of complex turbine blades.

🚀 The Foundation of the Aerogel Revolution

As the demand for ultra-lightweight, flame-retardant thermal insulation skyrockets in the Electric Vehicle (EV) sector, Silica Aerogel is becoming the industry standard. Yinglang Chemical’s High-Purity TEOS provides the perfect, consistent Sol-Gel alkoxy silane matrix. With moisture strictly controlled and chlorides minimized (≤ 5 ppm), our TEOS ensures optimal gelation times and a flawless mesoporous network, maximizing the insulating power of your final aerogel blankets.

Strict Liquid DG Packaging Options

Because TEOS is flammable and highly sensitive to ambient moisture, we utilize strictly sealed packaging for global ocean transit:

  • ISO TANKS (20 MT) (Highly recommended for aerogel gigafactories, fully N2-purged).
  • 1000 KG IBC Totes with specialized moisture-barrier valves.
  • 200 KG UN-approved Steel Drums, tightly sealed and Nitrogen-blanketed.

⚠️ Safety & Transport Information (Class 3 DG)

  • Transport Classification: Classified as Class 3 (Flammable Liquid).
  • UN Number: UN 1292 | Packing Group: III
  • Handling Precautions: FLAMMABLE. Causes serious eye irritation. Slowly hydrolyzes in the presence of water to release ethanol. Handle in explosion-proof systems. Store in a cool, strictly dry DG facility away from moisture and strong oxidizers.

FAQ

Q1: What documents and certifications do you provide?

A Standard shipment includes COA (Certificate of Analysis) and MSDS (SDS). We also provide ISO 9001 certification and support third-party inspections like SGS or BV upon request.

Q2: Do you provide custom synthesis or formulation services?

A Yes. If you have specific purity requirements or a unique formulation, our R&D team can provide custom synthesis and adjust the stabilizers/inhibitors to meet your technical specifications.

Q3: What are your terms of payment?

A For Orders ≤ $1,000: 100% in advance.
For Orders > $1,000: 30% T/T in advance, and the balance before shipment or against the copy of B/L. Irrevocable L/C at sight is also acceptable for bulk orders.

Q4: How long is your price valid?

A Chemical prices fluctuate due to the changes in raw material costs and exchange rates. Please contact our sales team for the latest real-time quotation.

Q5: What packaging and shipping ports are available?

A We normally ship from Qingdao, Shanghai, or Ningbo.
Standard packaging includes 200kg Drums or 1000kg IBC Totes. We ensure strict safety compliance for both general and hazardous chemical cargoes.

Q6: It's my first time importing chemicals — can you help?
