Lithium Bromide (LiBr) | 50%-55% Solution & Anhydrous Powder | CAS 7550-35-8

Overview

Lithium Bromide (LiBr) is a highly hygroscopic inorganic salt with an extraordinary ability to absorb water vapor. This unique property makes it the industry standard as a desiccant and refrigerant in heavy-duty industrial absorption chillers. It is available in two main forms: a clear, colorless 50%-55% Aqueous Solution (often customized with corrosion inhibitors like Lithium Molybdate or Lithium Chromate) and a high-purity Anhydrous Crystalline Powder.

Product Description

Lithium Fluoride (LiF) | Battery & Industrial Grade

CAS: 7789-24-4 Purity ≥ 99.9% UN 3288 (Class 6.1 Toxic)

Product Overview

Lithium Fluoride (LiF) is a white, free-flowing crystalline powder that is sparingly soluble in water but highly stable. As a crucial inorganic lithium salt, it plays a dual role in modern industry: it is an essential precursor and additive in the booming lithium-ion battery sector, and a high-performance fluxing agent in advanced metallurgy and ceramics.

At Shandong Yinglang Chemical Co., Ltd., established in 2016, we supply ultra-high purity Lithium Fluoride tailored for both technological and industrial applications. Whether you require Battery Grade with strictly controlled magnetic impurities, or Industrial Grade for flux applications, our robust production and Class 6.1 DG logistics ensure safe, reliable global delivery.

Technical Specifications (COA)

Below are the typical specifications for our high-end Battery Grade LiF:

Purity (LiF) ≥ 99.9%
Moisture / Water ≤ 0.05%
Sulfate (SO4) ≤ 0.01%
Chloride (Cl) ≤ 0.005%
Magnetic Impurities (Fe) ≤ 10 ppm

Key Applications

  • Lithium-Ion Battery Electrolytes: Acts as a vital precursor for synthesizing Lithium Hexafluorophosphate (LiPF6), the most common electrolyte salt. It is also used directly as an electrolyte additive to improve battery lifespan.
  • Metallurgical Fluxes: An excellent fluxing agent in the welding, brazing, and soldering of aluminum and light metal alloys, significantly lowering the melting point.
  • Ceramics & Glass: Used to lower the firing temperature and improve the thermal shock resistance of specialized glasses and enamels.
  • Optics: High-purity LiF is used to grow specialized UV/IR-transmitting optical crystals.

Secure DG Packaging

Due to its classification as a toxic solid and its sensitivity to moisture, we utilize highly secure, UN-approved packaging for sea freight:

  • 25 KG UN-approved Fiber Drums (Highly recommended for Battery Grade to ensure zero contamination).
  • 25 KG Multi-wall Kraft paper bags with heavy-duty PE inner liners.

⚠️ Safety & Transport Information (Class 6.1 DG)

  • Transport Classification: Classified as Class 6.1 (Toxic Solid, Inorganic, N.O.S.).
  • UN Number: UN 3288 | Packing Group: III
  • Handling Precautions: Toxic if swallowed. Causes skin and severe eye irritation. Operators MUST wear full protective gear, including NIOSH-approved dust masks, goggles, and gloves. Store in a dry, tightly sealed, and well-ventilated dedicated hazardous materials area.

FAQ

Q1: What documents and certifications do you provide?

A Standard shipment includes COA (Certificate of Analysis) and MSDS (SDS). We also provide ISO 9001 certification and support third-party inspections like SGS or BV upon request.

Q2: Do you provide custom synthesis or formulation services?

A Yes. If you have specific purity requirements or a unique formulation, our R&D team can provide custom synthesis and adjust the stabilizers/inhibitors to meet your technical specifications.

Q3: What are your terms of payment?

A For Orders ≤ $1,000: 100% in advance.
For Orders > $1,000: 30% T/T in advance, and the balance before shipment or against the copy of B/L. Irrevocable L/C at sight is also acceptable for bulk orders.

Q4: How long is your price valid?

A Chemical prices fluctuate due to the changes in raw material costs and exchange rates. Please contact our sales team for the latest real-time quotation.

Q5: What packaging and shipping ports are available?

A We normally ship from Qingdao, Shanghai, or Ningbo.
Standard packaging includes 200kg Drums or 1000kg IBC Totes. We ensure strict safety compliance for both general and hazardous chemical cargoes.

Q6: It's my first time importing chemicals — can you help?

A Absolutely. Importing chemicals requires specific documentation. Our experienced logistics team will assist you with the entire process, including handling customs clearance documents and arranging the most suitable shipping method.
