Product Overview

Lithium Nitrate (LiNO3) is a white or colorless crystalline powder that is highly soluble in water and exceptionally hygroscopic (deliquescent). As a powerful inorganic oxidizing agent, it plays a critical role in various heavy industries, ranging from suppressing chemical reactions in concrete to producing brilliant red colors in pyrotechnics, and acting as a thermal energy storage medium.

At Shandong Yinglang Chemical Co., Ltd., established in 2016, we supply ultra-high-purity Lithium Nitrate engineered for demanding industrial applications. With our deep expertise in handling Class 5.1 Oxidizing substances and moisture-sensitive lithium salts, we ensure your bulk orders are securely packaged and delivered globally with full DG compliance.

Technical Specifications (COA)

We strictly control moisture and impurities to prevent caking and ensure peak performance. Below are the typical specifications:

Purity (LiNO3) ≥ 99.0%
Moisture / Water ≤ 0.5%
Chloride (Cl) ≤ 0.01%
Sulfate (SO4) ≤ 0.01%
Iron (Fe) ≤ 0.001%

Key Applications

  • Concrete & Construction: A highly effective additive used to mitigate the Alkali-Silica Reaction (ASR) in concrete, preventing structural cracking in highways and dams.
  • Pyrotechnics & Fireworks: As a strong oxidizer and lithium source, it imparts a brilliant, intense crimson-red color to fireworks and marine distress flares.
  • Heat Transfer Media: Blended with other nitrate salts to create molten salt fluids used for thermal energy storage in Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) plants.
  • Glass & Ceramics: Utilized to lower the melting temperature and increase the thermal shock resistance of specialty glasses.

Secure DG Packaging

Due to its classification as a Class 5.1 Oxidizer and its extreme sensitivity to moisture, we employ robust, UN-approved packaging for sea freight:

  • 25 KG / 50 KG UN-approved Fiber Drums or Steel Drums (Highly recommended to prevent caking).
  • 25 KG Multi-wall PP woven bags with double PE inner liners (tightly heat-sealed).

⚠️ Safety & Transport Information (Class 5.1 DG)

  • Transport Classification: Classified as Class 5.1 (Oxidizing Substance).
  • UN Number: UN 2722 | Packing Group: III
  • Handling Precautions: Strong oxidizer. Contact with combustible or organic materials may cause fire. Keep away from heat and reducing agents. Highly hygroscopic; keep tightly sealed. Store in a dry, ventilated DG warehouse.

FAQ

Q1: What documents and certifications do you provide?

A Standard shipment includes COA (Certificate of Analysis) and MSDS (SDS). We also provide ISO 9001 certification and support third-party inspections like SGS or BV upon request.

Q2: Do you provide custom synthesis or formulation services?

A Yes. If you have specific purity requirements or a unique formulation, our R&D team can provide custom synthesis and adjust the stabilizers/inhibitors to meet your technical specifications.

Q3: What are your terms of payment?

A For Orders ≤ $1,000: 100% in advance.
For Orders > $1,000: 30% T/T in advance, and the balance before shipment or against the copy of B/L. Irrevocable L/C at sight is also acceptable for bulk orders.

Q4: How long is your price valid?

A Chemical prices fluctuate due to the changes in raw material costs and exchange rates. Please contact our sales team for the latest real-time quotation.

Q5: What packaging and shipping ports are available?

A We normally ship from Qingdao, Shanghai, or Ningbo.
Standard packaging includes 200kg Drums or 1000kg IBC Totes. We ensure strict safety compliance for both general and hazardous chemical cargoes.

Q6: It's my first time importing chemicals — can you help?

A Absolutely. Importing chemicals requires specific documentation. Our experienced logistics team will assist you with the entire process, including handling customs clearance documents and arranging the most suitable shipping method.
